FCS Financial Board of Directors

FCS Financial is governed by a 15-person board. Of those, 12 are elected by the stockholders of FCS Financial. Additionally, the board has appointed three directors. The board meets monthly and provides overall direction to the organization's leadership.

Jim Zerr, Chairman of the Board

Jim Zerr

Jim lives in Williamsburg where he farms in partnership with his brother and two sons.  Their operation consists of corn, wheat, soybeans and hay.  They also raise beef , hogs and dairy cattle. Jim has served on the board since 1980 and his current term expires in 2009. He represents Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cooper, Howard, Montgomery, Saline, and Warren counties.

 

James Nivens, Vice Chairman of the Board

James Nivens

James lives in LaRussell where his farming operation consists of corn, soybeans, wheat, cow/calf herd and backgrounding calves. He has served on the board since 1998 and his current term expires in 2009. James represents Barry, Barton, Dade, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, and Stone counties.

 

 

 

Bruce Bjornson, Appointed Director

Bruce Bjornson

Dr. Bjornson is a financial economist and certified public accountant who has worked in the Agribusiness Research Institute at the University of Missouri in Columbia.  Dr. Bjornson lives in Kansas City where he is a financial advisor.  Dr. Bjornson has been an appointed member of the board since 2007, and his current term on the board expires in 2010.

 

 

Mike Bruce

Mike Bruce

Mike lives in Nevada and his farming operation consists of wheat, soybeans, milo, corn and lespedeza. He also has a 150 head beef cattle operation. Mike has been a board member since 2002. His current term expires in 2011. Mike represents Bates, Camden, Cass, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, Johnson, St. Clair, and Vernon counties.

Mike Calton

Mike lives in Grovespring where his dairy operation includes dairy cattle, replacement heifers and hay production. He has served on the board since 1999 and his current term expires in 2010. He represents Christian, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Laclede, Polk, Taney, Webster, and Wright counties.

 

 

Michael Cook, Appointed Director

Michael Cook

Dr. Cook is a Professor of Agricultural Economics and Robert Partridge Chair of Cooperative Leadership at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He lives in Columbia. Dr. Cook has been an appointed member of the board since 1989 and his current term on the board expires in 2008.

 

 

 

Mark DeShon

Mark DeShon

Mark lives in Clarksdale and his farming operation consists of corn, soybeans, hay, silage, replacement dairy heifers, beef cows, broilers and hogs. He has been a member of the board since 2006 and his current term expires in 2009. Mark represents Andrew, Atchison, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Harrison, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth counties.

 

 

Gene McClellan

Gene McClellan

Gene lives in Willow Springs where his dairy operation consists of Holstein cows and heifers. He also raises beef cattle, alfalfa hay and haylage, orchard grass and fescue hay. He has been a board member since 1996. His current term expires in 2011. Gene represents Crawford, Dent, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Pulaski, Reynolds, Shannon, and Texas counties.

 

 

David Meneely, Appointed Director

David Meneely

David lives in Chillicothe where he serves as the Livingston County Farm Service Agency Executive Director. David has been an appointed member of the board since 1990. His current term expires in 2009.

 

 

 

Brian Peterson

Brian Peterson

Brian lives in Trenton where he operates a dairy and raises hay. He has been a member of the board since 2002. His current term expires in 2011. Brian represents Carroll, Chariton, Grundy, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, and Sullivan counties.

 

 

 

Mark Pierce

Mark Pierce

Mark lives in DeKalb and his operation consists of corn, soybeans, tobacco and beef cattle. He has served on the board since 2002 and his current term expires in 2010. Mark represents Buchanan, Caldwell, Clay, Clinton, Jackson, Lafayette, Platte, and Ray counties.

 

 

Gene Rademacher

Gene Rademacher

Gene lives in Bland where he is a grain and livestock farmer. He has been a member of the board since 1995 and his current term expires in 2010. Gene represents Benton, Cole, Franklin, Gasconade, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, Osage, and Pettis counties.

 

 

 

Eddie J. Rhoades

Eddie J. Rhoades

Ed lives in Lucerne where he and his two sons farm corn, soybeans, wheat, hay, beef cows and hogs. He has been a member of the board since 1991 and his current term expires in 2009. Ed represents Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Putnam, Schuyler, and Scotland counties.

 

 

 

Jim Schulze

Jim Schulze

Jim lives in Troy where he is a grain and livestock farmer raising corn, soybeans, wheat and beef cattle. He has served on the board since 1998. Jim's current term on the board expires in 2011.  Jim represents Iron, Jefferson, Lincoln, Madison, Perry, St. Charles, St. Francois, St. Louis, Ste. Genevieve, and Washington counties, and the City of St. Louis.

 

 

Bill Wehmeyer

Bill Wehmeyer
Bill lives in Callao where he is a grain farmer. He has been a member of the board since 1994 and his current term expires in 2010. Bill represents Macon, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, and Shelby counties.
