Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for a pro-active, friendly, accurate, and detailed individual! Financial Services Specialists collaborate with relationship managers to provide agriculture related financial services to member owners. You would also serve as a liaison/facilitator in the workflow between relationship managers, credit, other internal departments, and external resources. You would monitor pending and active loan accounts, interact with, and respond to applicants, and submit large, complex loan applications for credit review.
Potential Office locations in Missouri include Columbia or Macon. Other FCS Branch locations will be considered based on the candidates' qualifications and needs.

- An understanding of loan processing or loan closing functions

- General knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
- Knowledge of FCS procedures on title companies
- Easements, liens, final title policies

FCS Financial's 2024 Marketplace Internship Program - 12 Week Opportunity for College Students
FCS Financial's agricultural/rural lending and related financial services internship is a Unique, Rewarding, and Memorable Experience!!
At FCS Financial, part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, we are looking for Marketplace Interns to join our Team for the summer of 2024 for our 12-Week Internship Opportunity! FCS Financial is a member of the largest agriculture lending cooperative in the United States today. At FCS, we seek individuals who share passion for agriculture, rural living and helping people achieve their goals and dreams! We are looking for friendly, outgoing and confident students that are looking for an extraordinary learning opportunity!
The Marketplace Internship is designed to expose the student to all areas of FCS Financial! Working with several mentors within our Central Office and 21 office locations across Missouri, interns learn the components of the lending process, from meeting the customer and taking the application, through credit analysis and decision, to appraisal and loan closing. Additional time will be spent on learning credit fundamentals and credit philosophy. Besides working in our Central Office, learning about our Central Office functions (Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Information Services, Operations, Legal, Audit, Marketing) in Jefferson City, interns will work in multiple branch locations with the local staff and regional specialists (Credit, Sales and Customer Service, Crop Insurance, Risk Management, Appraisal, Loan Services) to experience first-hand the level of service and personal relationships we have with our customers.
Interns will also complete one or more projects identified by FCS that are hands-on in nature and are approved by our Executive Leadership Team to add value to the Association. Presentations to the Board of Directors, Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, mentors and other staff are done in late July prior to the end of the internship.
Marketplace Interns are assigned to one of our three teams in Missouri:
- Team #1 is located in Northern Missouri.
- Team #2 is located in Central Missouri.
- Team #3 is located in Southern Missouri.

The Starting hourly wage is $18.00 per hour (Subject to Change)

2024 Business 10-Week Internship Opportunity!

FCS Financial is a member of the largest agriculture lending cooperative in the United States today. At FCS, we seek individuals who share passion for agriculture, rural living and helping people achieve their goals and dreams!
FCS is offering internships to the growing Latino community in Missouri! FCS Financial offers every summer a paid 10-week internship opportunity (hotel, transportation, and food costs are covered by FCS Financial). The main goal of the internship give the opportunity for the students to learn about the business functions of the Association and also gain knowledge about the Latino Culture within the agriculture community. Students are encouraged to use bilingual (Spanish) skills.
The Business Internship is designed to expose the student to all areas of FCS Financial! Working with several mentors, interns learn the components of the lending process, from meeting the customer and taking the application, through credit analysis and decision, to appraisal and loan closing. Interns will work primarily in our Central Office in Jefferson City, Missouri, but will also spend time out in our retail offices with our Marketplace Staff. Time will be spent with various departments such as: Human Resources, Information Services, Legal, Operations, Audit, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Credit, Scorecard Lending, Information Services, Sales and Support, Appraisal, Crop Insurance, and Risk Management. The last few weeks of the internship program will allow the interns to customize their experience and focus on area of interest within the company.
The Business Interns will also complete one or more projects identified by FCS that are hands-on in nature and are approved by our Executive Leadership Team to add value to the Association.

Eligible interns must be:

- Enrolled as an undergraduate (sophomore, junior or senior) or as a graduate student in a 4-year institution of higher education in Missouri
- Preference given to those first in their family to be enrolled in an institution of higher education
- Preference given to those majoring in business, finance, agriculture, HR, or a related field
- The number of Latino internships being offered is two.
- The internships will take place in the Summer of 2024 over a period of 10 weeks
- The location of the internship site will primarily be at FCS Financial Central Office in Jefferson City, Missouri
- FCS Financial will provide for reasonable housing and transportation costs and a per diem to cover the cost of food.
