The Farm Service Agency (FSA) has opened enrollment for Price Loss Coverage (PLC) and Area Revenue Coverage (ARC) for 2019 and 2020 crop years. Producers may elect PLC or ARC coverage for crop year 2019 by March 15, 2020, and 2020 crop year by June 30, 2020. For crop years 2021 through 2023 election will be done yearly. Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO)
Producers who have elected PLC may purchase SCO coverage through their crop insurance agent. SCO is an area-based policy endorsement providing protection for a portion of a policyholders underlying crop insurance deductible. SCO for spring crops must be purchased by the spring sales closing deadline of March 15, 2020.
