Shaping the Future of Rural Communities and Agriculture
Nominations Sought in Conjunction with Farm Credit 100th Anniversary
To commemorate a century of service to rural communities and agriculture, FCS Financial and Farm Credit announced a nationwide search to identify and honor 100 leaders who are changing the future of rural communities and agriculture for the better. Nominations for the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives will be accepted at fcsfinancial100.com until December 18, 2015.
“We appreciate the vision and commitment that it takes to remain successful over time in agriculture and constantly evolving rural industries,” said David Janish, FCS Financial CEO. “The Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees will be recognized for their exceptional contributions and vision in positively shaping what is next for rural communities and agriculture.”
FCS Financial knows that Missouri is home to many of these innovators and leaders in rural communities and agriculture and is encouraging local nominations and applications.
Janish adds that anyone can nominate a deserving individual for the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honor, and he encourages nominations from Missouri farmers and ranchers, as well as individuals who represent other agribusinesses, cooperatives, academic institutions, government agencies, and community and non-government organizations, are encouraged to apply.
“We are seeking individuals from a variety of backgrounds to apply for the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives,” said Janish. “At FCS Financial, we believe the future will be defined by a wide range of individual fresh perspectives within rural communities and agriculture.”
A panel of experts on rural matters, including Farm Credit leaders and representatives from around the agriculture industry, will evaluate and select the top 100 honorees. Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees will be announced in March 2016. The recognition of these 100 people whose collective contributions will shape the future is a reflection of the cooperative, locally-owned structure of Farm Credit.
Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees will have the opportunity to share their stories, inspire with their vision and demonstrate their leadership through promotional opportunities. Ten distinguished Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees — one from each nomination category — will receive a $10,000 cash prize to help further their contributions to thriving rural communities and agriculture. These ten honorees and a guest also will be invited to Washington, D.C. to participate in a special Farm Credit recognition event in 2016.
