The MU Ag Alumni Association today announced the 2012 CAFNR Unlimited banquet, silent and live auctions will be held February 11, 2012. Alumni and friends are asked to mark their calendars for the fun-filled evening and to consider donating items for the event, which raises funds for students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR).

The 2012 Unlimited silent and live auctions, raffle and banquet will once again be held at the Holiday Inn Expo Center in Columbia, Mo. Pat Thomas, Unlimited chairman, anticipates great attendance at this year’s event.

“Last year, we had approximately 600 CAFNR alumni and supporters at the Unlimited,” said Thomas. “It’s a great way to spend a Saturday night with friends while raising money for students in our College.”

All proceeds from the auctions go toward scholarships, the Ag 100 Club endowment and student programs in CAFNR. The event is also a way for former students to stay involved in the future success of the college.

“The Unlimited event is an opportunity for alumni and friends to give back and assist CAFNR students,” said Thomas. “With the recent launch of CAFNR’s ‘Collaborating for the Greater Good’ mission, there is so much excitement and energy flowing through the halls. It’s a great time to be a part of CAFNR and we want to continue to be a part of student success.”

All friends, alumni and other supporters of the CAFNR should plan to attend the February 11, 2012, event at the Holiday Inn Expo Center in Columbia. Tickets are $45 if purchased before January 26 and $55 after the early bird deadline. Various levels of table sponsorship opportunities are also available. Guests are also invited to stay and socialize with friends after the auction at a free after party.

If you are interested in donating items, reserving a table, or providing financial support for the silent and live auctions, contact Pat Thomas at 573-473-6454, or Dana Brown-Haynes at 573-999-5749, or email brownds@missouri.edu.
