As part of our 100 year anniversary, FCS Financial launched the FCS Financial Rural Community and Agriculture Foundation to support the cooperative’s long-term commitment to a thriving and prosperous agricultural industry and rural communities in Missouri.

"FCS Financial has been serving agriculture and rural communities for 100 years," David Janish, FCS Financial CEO, says. "We plan on continuing that mission for the next 100 years. The Rural Community and Agriculture Foundation is our ongoing commitment to our member-owners, our industry and the rural communities we call home."

The FCS Financial board of directors approved the creation of the Foundation and the initial funding of $1 million. Requests to the Foundation will be managed by an advisory committee of three FCS Financial employees and three FCS Financial board members. The committee will review all applications and vote on approvals for submission to the Community Foundation of Central Missouri (CFCM) for funding from the Foundation. Approvals will be focused on targeted, long-term investments and will typically be non-recurring. The minimum size request must be $5000.

The Community Foundation of Central Missouri (CFCM) will manage the Foundation funds and disbursement. CFCM works to expand philanthropy, support non-profits, and engage in key community issues by offering unique ways for donors to invest in the community.

"FCS Financial will make a positive impact on rural Missouri through the establishment of a new field of interest fund with the Community Foundation of Central Missouri," John Baker, Executive Director, CFCM says. "Such a fund uses the available grant dollars donated by FCS Financial in a particular program area, in this case broad-ranging rural and agricultural initiatives, rather than designating gifts to a single organization. Field of interest funds are flexible to meet changing community needs."

All applications must serve the Foundation’s mission statement and meet the CFCM requirements for funding. If your organization has a project tied to agriculture or a rural community and would like to apply for funding from the Foundation, you will need to send the following information:
