With continuous developments in global agriculture, supply, demand and commodity prices are always changing.  Sorting out the continuously emerging issues affecting a farm business can be difficult to keep up with. To help producers stay up-to-date with the latest information, MU Extension and the FAPRI team provide a monthly crop and livestock outlook via a webcast. The webcasts are scheduled two business days after the release of USDA’s World Ag Supply and Demand Estimates report and are roughly 50 minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of questions from callers. Participants will hear from crop outlook experts Marty Foreman, John Kruse, Seth Meyer, and David Reinbott and livestock outlook experts Scott Brown and Wesley Tucker.

Each webcast addresses emerging issues from the last month, the crop outlook including corn and soybeans, as well as the livestock and dairy outlook.  Occasionally, other commodities such as wheat, rice, cotton, and hay will be discussed.  Emerging issues include topics such as the impacts of the US -China trade war, the implications of African swine fever, the compromise on small refiner exemptions and implications for feedstock demand, policy developments, and many others.  Crop and livestock commodity outlooks include a discussion of the factors affecting profitability, production, demand, and the implications for commodity prices.  Crop marketing opportunities are highlighted.

Below is a list of the dates and web address to access the webinars through June 2020. If you have questions, please contact John Kruse at or 573-882-6807.
