As the end of the year approaches, it's time to wrap up your financial business and prepare for 2025. Here are some important reminders from FCS Financial to ensure your payments are processed correctly and you receive the proper interest credit for 2024.

Processing Deadlines:

Meeting these deadlines is crucial to ensure your payments and interest are applied to the correct year. 

  • December 26th: 
    Want to use your Funds Held balance for interest credit in 2024? Notify your local branch office by noon. This allows them time to process your request. 
  • December 30th: 
    Online Payments: If you're paying through My Access Plus, schedule your payment by 4:00 p.m. Central Time with a payment date of December 30th. This ensures your online payment is processed in time. 

    - ACH Payments: A Requesting an ACH payment at your branch? Make sure it's set up by 4:00 p.m. to guarantee it's credited in 2024. 
  • December 31st: 
    In-Person Payments: If you're making a payment in person at your local office, it must be received by noon to be credited to your account in 2024. 

Keep in mind that post-dated checks and mail postmarked with a future date will be processed on the date they are received by FCS Financial, not the date indicated on the check or postmark. To ensure your payment is credited in 2024, please make sure it reaches us by the deadlines outlined above. 

Understanding Your Statements 

You'll receive two types of statements from FCS Financial: 

Annual Loan Statement: This statement provides a comprehensive summary of your loan activity throughout the year. It includes details such as principal and interest payments made, loan balances, and interest accrued. Expect this statement to arrive by mail in early January. 

Tax Statements: These statements that meet the IRS Guidelines will be mailed out on January 31, 2025. 

Important Notes 

Plan Ahead: Don't wait until the last minute! Mark these deadlines on your calendar and make your payment arrangements in advance to avoid any delays or missed deadlines. 

Contact Your Local Branch: If you have any questions or need assistance with year-end processing, don't hesitate to contact your local FCS Financial branch. They are there to help you!
