Despite this year's wet Missouri spring, farmers and ranchers across the state have been busy tending to livestock and planting this year’s crop. To recognize their hard work and ease some stress, FCS Financial hosted our third annual Tractor Dash program.
Tractor Dash allows farmers and farm families to win lunch delivered to the field or cooked at their machine shed by their local FCS Financial office.
“Our member-owners and their families do a lot of work both in and out of the field. Through Tractor Dash, we were able to take one thing off their shoulders,” says Lani Ogle, Joplin loan officer.
Joe and FCS Financial employees, Austin Bailey and Connie Kuhman, enjoyed lunch with the Schnarre family in Boone County, Mo.
“I am always looking for opportunities to grow my relationship with my member-owners and Tractor Dash is the perfect opportunity for that,” explained Team Leader Joe Abbott.
The program launched in 2022 with nine winners, it has since grown to twelve winners in 2024. This year's winners stretch across the state from Maryville to O’Fallon, south to Joplin and West Plains, and in between.
“Tractor Dash is memorable for families and employees. It creates an inviting atmosphere for great conversation and heartfelt connections,” shares Andi Atkisson, Financial Services Specialist. Andi has been a part of two Tractor Dash meal deliveries over the last couple of years.
In 2023, she joined the Bybee family as they combined fescue seed and this year enjoyed pulled pork and turkey with the Eggerman family. Andi continues, “I am so thankful for this experience and how it gives the branch an insider view of member-owners and their operations.”
