Wednesday, September 16, FCS Financial kicked off their celebration of Cooperative Month by serving lunch to approximately 150 agricultural producers unloading grain at the Lamar MFA. Cooperative Month offers us an opportunity to celebrate our unique business model and pause to thank our member-owners.

"Missouri’s rural producers are the backbone of our business. Serving lunch is a small gesture to say thank you to these producers for all that they do,” says Dave Janish, FCS Financial CEO.

FCS Financial is part of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of cooperatively owned lending institutions serving agriculture and rural America. The cooperative model allows FCS Financial to connect with local communities.

In 2015, we awarded 37 Shaping Rural Missouri grants to 4-H clubs and FFA chapters to complete a community betterment project. Many staff members are taking advantage of the Partners in Doing program and volunteering in their local communities at fairs and food banks and more than $5,000 has been donated by employees and the association to various non-profit groups through the Boost Your Impact program.

The celebration of National Cooperative Month continues throughout the fall harvest season with more events planned throughout the state. Learn more about upcoming events and activities at myfcsfinancial.com or connect with FCS Financial on Twitter.
