Crudup Receives the 2012 William J. Collins Scholarship

 



AgriBank, FCB is pleased to announce the two recipients of the William J. Collins Scholarship. The following students will both receive a $1,500 scholarship:

• Lauren Crudup: Lauren is planning on attending Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College. She is the daughter of Cheryl Crudup of Belton, Missouri (FCS Financial Harrisonville Office).

• Kayla Seidler: Kayla New Leipzig is planning on attending North Dakota State University. She is the daughter of Glenn and Yvonne Seidler (Farm Credit Services of Mandan).

To apply for this scholarship, eligible students must be accepted at a university or college, enrolled in a four year agriculture-related degree program and be the child of an AgriBank District employee. Selection criteria includes: academic performance, letters of recommendation, and answers to short essay questions.

Both Lauren Crudup and Kayla Seidler exhibited admirable involvement with agriculture youth organizations and a distinct passion for the future of agriculture.

Lauren, Kayla and agriculture students across the country will play an important future role in feeding a growing global population”, says Bill York, AgriBank CEO. “Thus, we are proud to honor these outstanding students with the 2012 scholarships.”

The William J. Collins Scholarship recognizes Mr. Collins’ time and devotion to agriculture and the Farm Credit System, particularly the AgriBank District. This scholarship is awarded to young people interested in pursuing agriculture-related degrees. In partnership with Agriculture Future of America (AFA), the scholarship is awarded each year to children of AgriBank District employees. The scholarship is made available to students through the Agriculture Future of America Scholarship program (www.agfuture.org).
