FCS Financial is recognizing 51 4-H clubs and FFA chapters with $500 grants for submitting outstanding Shaping Rural Missouri grant applications. In the five years of its existence, more than $77,000 has been awarded to Missouri 4-H clubs and FFA chapters. Grants are awarded to organizations with plans to complete a community improvement project by the end of the year.

“Community development in rural Missouri is very important to FCS Financial. Our member-owners and staff live in rural communities across Missouri,” said Scott Gardner, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, FCS Financial. “These grants not only strengthen our rural communities but allow our youth to work as a team to accomplish a worthy goal.”

The following 4-H clubs and FFA chapters were selected by a panel of judges to receive a Shaping Rural Missouri grant in support of implementing the respective project listed:


  • Fairfax FFA Chapter, Rock Pork FFA Chapter & Tarkio FFA Chapter (Atchison County) - Upgrade Atchison County Fairgrounds Wash Rack
  • F & L Hustlers 4-H Club, Centralia FFA Chapter & Centralia 4-H Club (Audrain & Boone Counties) - Digital Scale for Centralia Fairgrounds
  • Audrain County 4-H & Youth Fair Board (Audrain County) - Upgrade Wash Rack
  • Southwest FFA Chapter (Barry County) - Repair Local Clothes Closet
  • Barton County 4-H Club (Barton County) - Lamar Historic Constitution Square Update
  • Rich Hill FFA Chapter (Bates County) - Landscaping Around School
  • Ashland FFA Chapter (Boone County) - Courtyard Creation
  • Hallsville Go-Getters 4-H Club (Boone County) - Livestock Wash Rack
  • Hatton 4-H Club (Callaway County) - Build Picnic Tables for Hatton Community
  • Stoutland FFA Chapter, Richland 4-H Club & Richland FFA Chapter (Camden & Pulaski Counties) - Livestock Barn Improvements
  • Carroll County 4-H Club & Carrollton ACC FFA Chapter (Carroll County) - Sun Blocker Flat Top Shade Cloth
  • Cass Career Center FFA Chapter (Cass County) - Repainting Livestock Barn at North Park
  • Lone Oak 4-H Club (Cass & Jackson Counties) - Landscaping Whispering Hills
  • Walking Trail Shamrock 4-H Club (Clark County) - Improvements on Cattle Barn
  • Brazito Eager Elves 4-H Club (Cole County) - Practice Ball Field & Park Improvements
  • Bourbon FFA Chapter (Crawford County) - Build Picnic Tables & Landscaping
  • Blue Ribbon Kids 4-H Club, Crossroads 4-H Club & Yadkin Creek 4-H Club (Crawford County) - Swine Barn Improvements
  • Union FFA Chapter (Franklin County) - Portable Bleachers at Franklin County Fairgrounds
  • New Franklin FFA Chapter (Howard County) – Build Picnic Tables & Benches at Howard County Fairgrounds
  • Cherry Grove 4-H Club (Howard County) - Plant a Tree Project
  • Chillhowee Indian's 4-H Club (Johnson County) - Arena Improvements
  • Good Neighbors 4-H Club (Johnson County) - Good Neighbors Recycle Project
  • Laclede County Aggies 4-H Club & Lebanon FFA Chapter (Laclede County) - Build Sheep Pens
  • Hitt 4-H Club (Lafayette County) - Improvements at City Park
  • Bevier FFA Chapter (Macon County) - Flag Display in Bevier
  • Mt. Zion 4-H Club (Marion County) - Caroline's Cart Project
  • Corner Stone 4-H Club (McDonald County) - Beautifying the Senior Center
  • Eager Beaver 4-H Club (Monroe County) - Landscape Around Schools
  • East Newton 4-H Club (Newton County) - Benches for Newton County Fair

  • Neighborly Community 4-H Club (Randolph County) - Landscape Cairo Village Entrance Signs & Post Office
  • Millville 4-H Club (Ray County) - Improve Ventilation at Ray County Fair Livestock Building
  • Scotland County 4-H Council (Scotland County) - Gates for Goats
  • Current River Clovers 4-H Club (Shannon County) - Flower Boxes for Local Nursing Homes
  • South Shelby FFA Chapter (Shelby County) - Drink Safe, Drink Smart
  • Newton Community 4-H Club (Sullivan County) - Ballpark & Community Center Renovations
  • Cabool FFA Chapter (Texas County) - Small Animal Wash Rack
  • Summersville FFA Chapter (Texas & Shannon Counties) - Community Recreational Self-Guided Educational Corn Maze
  • Lone Star 4-H Club, Northeast Vernon County FFA Chapter & Walker 4-H Club (Vernon County) – Poultry & Rabbit Barn Rebuilding
