After recently learning of the need for funds to rebuild portions of Nodaway-Holt High School following a tornado last fall, FCS Financial announced its intent to donate $5,000 to assist with construction. FCS Financial leadership will present the check to Nodaway-Holt High School officials on August 24 at 10 a.m. at the high school located at 318 South Taylor, Graham, Mo.

“As a rural community with strong farming roots, we appreciate the donation from FCS Financial,” says Karma Coleman, Nodaway-Holt High School Superintendent. “Their financial assistance helps tremendously and benefits our students and our community.”

Last September, an EF-0 tornado with winds up to 85 miles per hour hit the school in Graham, Mo. The roofs from both the main and vocational buildings were blown off and heavy rain caused damaged to classrooms. It was reported that at least five tornados passed through the area that evening.

“Helping to rebuild Nodaway-Holt High School is important to us because FCS Financial is committed to the success of Missouri’s rural youth and the communities we serve,” says David Janish, FCS Financial CEO. “Strong leaders are developed from strong agricultural youth programs at schools like Nodaway-Holt.”
