The FCS Financial Rural Community & Agriculture Foundation is proud to announce a $7,500 contribution to support the Lincoln County Fair Board's dedicated efforts to construct new livestock buildings at the fairgrounds in Troy, Mo. Recognizing the vital role of the youth livestock program in developing essential life skills and fostering the next generation of agricultural leaders, the Foundation is committed to helping make this vision a reality.
Since late 2024, the Lincoln County Fair Board has been actively fundraising to replace the aging livestock facilities, which no longer meet the growing needs of the program. The existing arena, built in 1987, has been outgrown by the significant increase in both exhibitors and livestock auction sales.
"At FCS Financial, we understand the importance of investing in the future of agriculture and the development of our young people," said Rob Guinn, CEO of FCS Financial. "The Lincoln County Fair's youth livestock program provides invaluable opportunities for young individuals to learn responsibility, build character, and gain crucial skills. We are pleased to support the Lincoln County Fair Board's proactive efforts to create state-of-the-art facilities that will benefit the community for years to come."
The construction of the new livestock show barns will offer numerous benefits to the community, including enhanced educational opportunities for the public, critical life skills development for young exhibitors, character and leadership building, mentorship opportunities, exposure for future agriculturists, increased community pride, and a lasting legacy for future generations.
"The Lincoln County Fair Board is incredibly grateful for the support of organizations like the FCS Financial Foundation as we work towards building these much-needed new livestock facilities," stated Kyle Allen, President of the Lincoln County Fair Board. "For 42 years, our youth livestock program has been a cornerstone of the Lincoln County Fair, providing invaluable experiences for our young people. These new buildings will ensure that this program not only continues but thrives. This is an investment in our youth and the future of agriculture in Lincoln County."
The Lincoln County Fair Livestock Improvements project is being completed in two phases:
- Phase 1 (Nearing Completion - June 2025): Construction of a new 80' x 275' show arena and a building for sheep, goats, chickens, and rabbits. Existing buildings will be repurposed for swine overflow.
- Phase 2 (Scheduled for Fall 2025 - Spring 2026): Construction of a new 40' x 200' cattle structure, extending the Phase 1 arena.
The FCS Financial Foundation encourages the community to join them in supporting this important project and helping the Lincoln County Fair Board build a lasting legacy for Lincoln County youth.
