As a farmer herself, Elise understands the unique rhythms of agricultural life and the growing importance of taking value-added products straight to local consumers.

The session focused on moving away from a "price-taker" mindset toward becoming a "brand-builder." Elise highlighted several key differentiators between these two approaches:
- Pricing Mindset: A price-taker asks what their neighbor is charging, while a brand-builder asks the product is worth to the buyer.
- Relationships: Transactions move from being strictly transactional to deeply relational.
- Presentation: Brand-builders prioritize consistent packaging and a cohesive story across all platforms.
3 Steps to Marketing Success
Elise broke down the marketing process into three actionable pillars:
- Identify Your Ideal Buyer: Success starts with knowing your audience—whether they are health-conscious parents, gift shoppers, values-aligned locals, or bulk buyers.
- Master Value-Based Pricing: Pricing should reflect the story, quality, and transparency you provide, not just the base production cost.
- Audit the Customer Journey: Producers must clarify how customers find them, why they trust them, and how they pay or pick up their products.
