FCS Financial has named Dan Rhoades as the new Vice President, Ag & Rural Lending, and Sarah Gehring as the new Assistant Vice President, Ag & Rural Lending, in its Columbia office.
They will both provide a wide range of financial services to customers in Boone, Callaway, Cooper, and Howard counties. These services include farm real estate loans, operating loans, and equipment loans.
Rhoades is a veteran employee of FCS Financial, bringing nearly 20 years of experience with the cooperative. He transfers to Columbia from the FCS Financial office in Mexico, where he served as a loan officer for the last 10 years. He previously served as a Crop Insurance agent with FCS Financial in Columbia. "I am looking forward to renewing relationships with previous customers in the Columbia loan servicing area and building new relationships with the changing dynamics of Boone, Callaway, Cooper and Howard Counties," Rhoades said.
Gehring brings 15 years of experience to the position and steps into the role previously held by London Brown, who recently transitioned to the FCS Financial office in Marshall to be closer to his family. Gehring previously served on FCS Financial’s marketing team. Before her career at FCS Financial, she managed the AgriMissouri program at the Missouri Department of Agriculture, where she worked with farmers producing value-added and niche products. "I am most looking forward to getting to know and work with our member-owners to help them achieve their goals for their farm," Gehring said.
Both Rhoades and Gehring have strong agricultural backgrounds in the territory they will serve. Rhoades lives on the family farm in Centralia, Mo., where they raise lambs for show and meat consumption. He holds a bachelor’s degree in general agriculture from the University of Missouri and was an active member of both 4-H and FFA as a youth.
Gehring grew up on a diversified livestock and row crop farm in Centralia, Mo., where her family raised sheep. She continues that tradition today, raising Katahdin sheep with her son on the family's farm. Gehring is an active community member, serving as secretary of the local Panther Boosters, as a member of the FFA Alumni, and on the Missouri Institute of Cooperatives (MIC) board. She is also active in her church.
