The FCS Financial Rural Community and Agriculture Foundation recently granted $10,000 to the Marshall High School Booster Club for the Gymnasium Renovation Capital Campaign.
The Marshall High School has seen few renovations in its 42-year history. The booster club’s gymnasium makeover will include new bleachers, floor, paint, scoreboards, wrestling mat and roller, end pads and basketball goals. The renovation is planned for this summer concluding in August before the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.
“The FCS Financial grant for the renovated gym is earmarked for new seating integrating students and community during the many events held at Marshall High School,” says Ellen Lance, Marshall High School Booster Club Vice President. “The community has been incredibly supportive. With the grant from FCS Financial and donations from other local businesses, we have received more than half of the funds needed to complete the renovation.”
The FCS Financial Rural Community and Agriculture Foundation represents the cooperative’s long-term commitment to a thriving and prosperous agricultural industry and our rural communities. The Foundation focuses on targeted, long-term investments.
“A high school serves an important role in rural communities and is critical to a community’s long-term success,” says David Janish, FCS Financial CEO. “FCS Financial is committed to supporting our rural communities and the high school gymnasium renovations will benefit area students and adults for many generations.”
