FCS Financial customers were recently given the opportunity to complete a short survey on their marketing practices. Customers who attended the Missouri State Fair and who received the annual customer satisfaction survey completed the survey. Below is a summary of the results. The first question asked if they were working with a professional service for grain or livestock merchandising. 20.4% reported that yes they were. When asked who they were working with, the names included:
Some marketing programs include an analysis for cost of production. Those working with a professional service were asked if the program they used included a cost of production analysis.
Yes = 17.8%
No = 66.1%
Some = 15.7%
The tools used for marketing grain and livestock products varied a lot. The primary tool was crop insurance with 40.4% responding they used this tool. The chart below shows the other tools utilized.
The bar chart below shows responses when asked how many of these tools the producer used to market their products.
The fourth question asked them to rate their interest in attending educational seminars around the topic of marketing. More than half, 54.7%, indicated they had an interest in attending a seminar on marketing.
