The FCS Financial Rural Community and Agriculture Foundation recently granted $15,000 to the Gasconade County Fair Foundation, Owensville Mo., for construction of a new youth and ag education center.
The new structure replaces a youth and ag building that was one of the original fair buildings from 75 years ago and was demolished due to its condition. The center will continue being used by 4-H clubs, FFA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and various ag organizations.
“The construction of the new Youth and Ag Education Center is critical to the Fair Board’s mission statement and future of the fair supporting education in the county and surrounding areas,” says Bob Idel, Gasconade County Fair Foundation Vice President.
The FCS Financial Rural Community and Agriculture Foundation represents the cooperative’s long-term commitment to a thriving and prosperous agricultural industry and our rural communities. The Foundation focuses on targeted, long-term investments.
“FCS Financial believes supporting rural communities and involving youth in agriculture is crucial for the ag industry,” says Rob Guinn, FCS Financial CEO. “We are excited to help Gasconade County continue their rich tradition of empowering rural families through educational experiences.”
